Paradise!

What's not to love about Santa Cruz? Here's a few items of special interest to the 4th Avenue players during their off hours, i.e., when not playing.

Beach Clean-up - Save Our Shores does an incredible job of protecting our local beaches with over 250 clean-up events each year. Volunteer hours and donations from people who love the beach make it possible.

Kids Camp - As a VB tournament organizer and former teacher beloved by both students and parents, Liz Fowler is a primo day camp director. Lizzy Fowler's Adventure Camps offer something for everyone: sports, water, animals, community.

Shop Where You Play - If you enjoy having alternatives to chain stores and mono-culture, Think Local First is on your side. The web site explains why supporting local businesses is so important. Not to mention, some 4th Avenue players own those businesses!

Our Bay - The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, in Depot Park near the Wharf on Pacific, is still new enough not to be overrun by tourists. It can't rival the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but it does have some excellent interactive exhibits about our bay.

Jewelry Angels - Jewelry Angels is a charity that connects people who make jewelry as a hobby with worthy recipients of their donations. The initial jewelry making party has hosted by Audrey for the local Parkinson's support group.
